Installation & Hardware Guide

To achieve the signature flush-to-wall look for your ceramic sconce, you will need to select the right internal fitting based on your home’s wiring. Please note that we sell the ceramic shade only; the electrical components below can be sourced at most local hardware stores or electrical wholesalers.

Option 1: Hardwired (Professional Installation)

For a permanent, seamless look, we recommend having a licensed electrician install a low-profile surface-mount lamp holder.

• For Smaller Openings (Recommended): Use a G9 LED Batten Holder. This miniature fitting is ideal for the slim profile of our sconces and uses a compact G9 bulb that won't touch the ceramic walls. [Link to G9 Holder]

• For Standard Openings: Use a Slimline E27 (Edison Screw) Batten Holder. Ensure it is a "surface mount" variety to allow the shade to sit completely flush against your wall. [Link to E27 Holder]

• Pro Tip: Ask your electrician to use a shade ring to securely "sandwich" the ceramic between the fitting and the wall for a rock-solid finish.

Option 2: The "No-Electrician" DIY Method

If you are renting or don't have existing wall wiring, you can still enjoy the glow of our ceramic sconces using a battery-operated solution.

1. Mount: Use a high-quality battery-operated LED Puck Light (preferably with a remote and "warm white" setting). [Link to Puck Light]

2. Affix: Attach the puck light directly to your wall using 3M command strips or the provided bracket.

3. Place: Simply hang or rest your ceramic sconce over the light.

4. Enjoy: Use the remote to turn your wall light on and off without a single wire in sight.

Quick Installation Steps

1. Measure: Ensure your chosen light fitting or puck light fits within the back opening of the sconce.

2. Level: Mark your wall placement to ensure the shade sits straight.

3. Install: Secure your hardware to the wall (always use a licensed professional for hardwiring).

4. Fit: Place the ceramic shade over the light source. If using a threaded lamp holder, hand-tighten the shade ring until snug—do not over-tighten.

FIT / INSTALLATION

For the Wall Sconce, if you have the wall electrical work already in place then you simply attach the sconce to the wall and use a regular size light bulb in the fitting. There is a square opening on the back of the sconce so that it fits all electrical components and sits flush on the wall.

Some customers have found a way to not use an electrician and have used a battery powered solution for the Wall Sconce, you can fit the light bulb with a battery pack and you can switch on and off rather than fitting it permanently.

We suggest with all electrical / light fittings to liaise with a professional to find the best and most safest solution for your home.
